::oh, Porter::

This is what you get to wear.......

....when you pee on your shirt.

(how did he pee on his shirt?? I still don't know. He only got it on his shirt, no where else--this is part of the nervousness I felt when he became self-sufficient in the bathroom-- So all I had in the bag was one of Coopie's shirts. Do you think it's too little?? Only by about 4 sizes!!)

::twin falls::

We took our annual golf trip to Twin Falls, ID this weekend. I love this trip. Not too sure why, but something about it is just fun.

We went to the driving range...

the menses (Matt, Jared, & Adam)

...and the girlses (me, Sarah, & Krystal)

We all went out to eat together.

a guy at Chili's was making balloon shapes...

Chloe got a flower...

...and Portie and Matt got swords!

While the guys were golfin' us girls got to go do some fun stuff...

We went to "hip-hop-anonymous" (haha)

...we also saw Ice Age 3 up there. No pictures of that, but it was pretty fun. Cute movie.

We swam a lot!

On Saturday night, we went out to the Shoshone Falls.
we took (kind of) a picnic dinner...

...and went down to see the falls.

aren't they beautiful?? (click on this picture)

Then today (Sunday), our last day there, Sarah and I went sightseeing while Matt and J got in one last round of golf.
this is the bridge into Twin Falls.

looking towards the golf course from under the bridge (the course is in the bottom of this canyon)

Coming up out of the canyon, there's a lone little waterfall. We got out of the car and walked down next to and behind it. It was SO cool! I've never been that close to a waterfall. I loved the sound of it. Everything around it was green and wet and cool.

looking through the waterfall at the golf course.

Then we headed home.
Fun trip. Glad we went. Fun to hang with everyone and spend some time together :)

::portish::

Do you speak "Portish" ???
Here's a free lesson...

Ever since he started talking, Porter has developed his own language. He changes words and does his best to pronounce them, and they sometimes come out SO funny. Instead of correcting him, like we probably should, we just laugh and start talking that way too. Most of these examples are kind of spelled out phonetically (the best way I could describe his pronunciation via typing).

cracker: "kwa-kwa"
brother: "bwudwa" then "bruhzeh"
tractor: "trac-tra" then "trac-teh"
sword: "dinosoehd"
swim suit: "fim soup"
macaroni and cheese: "macka-omi-cheese"
pepperoni: "peppa-omi"
use: "nuse"
yellow: "lellow"
water: "wahtey"
tomato: "tate-a-moe"
Cooper: "Coopeh"
Chloe: "Giggoo" then "Choe" then "Chloe"
Tahoe: "Hahoe"
computer: "compideh"
mop: "moff"
with: "wiss"
bath: "baff"
what he calls his blankie: "muh muh"
motorcycle: "mokicycoe"
what he calls his lizard: "wizehd"
burp: "bihp"
sandwich: "sammy"
booster seat: "dooster seat"
all of them: "ahvallum"
own: "owm"
down: "dowm"
spoon: "byoom"
neck: "neckin"
noodles: "needoes"
fix it: "fickits"

pajamas: "padamas"
credit card: "pedit cahd"
He doesn't say his "r's" or "th" sounds (they end up as "sss" sounds).
These are all things he says or has said in the past. I figured I better get 'em down so I don't forget, 'cause he's starting to say things the right way ((sad)). I'm sure I'll add to the list later on.

::fourth of july::

We had a pretty busy 4th...

We started out with the "firecracker 5K"

Then we met up with my brother and his family and Grandma and Papa Kitty at the pool...

she liked to go down all by herself!

don't ya love his face?

Portie calls those "gaggoes"

lovin' the Twizzler!

Then, over to the park for a picnic and some fireworks...

monkey man!!

cousins

"The VooDoo Orchestra" (all highschool students)

Chloe likes to pretend she's sleeping in pictures

"fiyeh wehks" were fun. The huge ones were "daddy ones" the little bitty ones were "aww, it's a Coopie one" and anything in between were "Mamma, Chloe, or Portie ones."

We had a great 4th. This holiday always makes me feel proud. I feel blessed to live where I do, and am thankful everyday for my freedom and the sacrifices made by so many for me to have it.
