::mow the snow::

We got some snow this morning, and when we got home from taking Chloe to school, Port-Port thought he'd better mow it...
"wiss his moweh."
And he did...

::greatest snow on earth::

That's right, we have the greatest snow on earth, and Sarah and I 'boarded in in for a while today. Fun doesn't even begin to properly describe our day. It was SOOO great! We had the best time.

It had snowed the night before and this morning, so we had LOTS of fresh powder. I can't say that I've ever skied on powder before, and it was great! Look at it all, you can't even see our boards!! We had to do some serious stomping after each run to get that snow off.

An awesome picture of Sae!!...

After a few runs, and almost getting taken out by
"BrIh-ttNeY", we decided we needed to get away and go try some jumps. We made a few attempts. My first was not successful, I chickened out and just went over the hump. The next few we did better. I got a bit of air (which we weren't able to get on camera-dangit!!), and landed a couple of them! Go me!!
I think this was my best one...I was just landing it (oh yeah, I landed it!!)

(Not too sure about this picture. I think I either just fell, or Sae just told me she didn't get me in the air again)

I looked through her camera at the shots of the jump to see if we got it and came across this little beauty...

...Sae's self portrait; taken while she was waiting for me to do my jump. "When did this happen" haha

We got some of eachother coming down-some actions shots!! Here's me...

Here's Sarah, goin' for the jump!

'Cause you gotta have some strong arms when you're snowboarding-to pick
yourself up if you fall. Not that we ever fell...

What an awesome day!! It was so fun! We laughed a lot, took lots of pictures (thanks to Sarah's camera), and had so much fun together! We decided we need to do a big family day again like last year.

BIIIG thanks to Grandma Snowman for watching those babies all day. It was much appreciated :)

::parents' day::

Today was parents' day with Chloe's tumbling group. The parents get to come watch, do some of the things the kids do, and participate in some of their activities. So I went with Port-Port and Coopie.

Chloe was cute and excited to show us her stuff. Porter LOVED it! (He's not in any tumbling right now because he's too young for jr. gym (had to be 4), and too "good" for the mom & me class-he did it last summer and did great, and even got a little bored with it and started doing crazy things.) Porter loved doing everything Chloe did. He ran around with her, did "hant stants", stretches, jumps, and some extra things. He thought it was great.

He and Bubb crawled around a little. I mostly had to hold Coops the whole time so he wouldn't get tumbled on.

Chloe's been working really hard on her back handsprings. She's totally got it down! She can only do it on soft floors, but she can do it all on her own with no spotter! It was fun to watch her.

Miss Jenn telling them to show us thier trampoline routines...

Another back handspring...

And now some toning exercises to end the day...

We also did some stretching, ball passing (with a weighted ball), races, and some hand stand drills. She was really excited to have us there. It was fun for her to have Portie and Coopie watch her and do a little bit of what she does. Coopie even did some stretching with her. She loves to tumble and she loves her teacher. It was a fun little afternoon, and she was really giggly the whole time.

::super bowl XLIV::

We had a little super bowl party on Sunday. I guess it was more because we like the family, the food, and football, not necessarily the two teams playing, but just football in general-cause the Cowboys didn't quite make it :(

Not the most exciting of Super Bowls, but a fun time nonetheless. We all talked, ate, and made lots of jokes about the Who (the Who???).

Here we all are...

The kids liked the snackies...
Chloe, Porter, & Addyson (Cooper was sleeping, and Brylee was playing somewhere)

The Saints won, and we were happy about it (I guess). Matt only cared about the numbers of the score...I guess he was in some kind of superbowl betting pool thing where the two last numbers of the score at the end of any quarter had to end in 3 and 3 for each team, and he'd win some money. He was about as lucky as the Colts were :)

We're so glad everyone could come over. It's always fun to get together.
:)

::mom's moving day::

Grandma & Papa Kitty moved this last Saturday, and we went down to help.
Well, they hired movers, so we didn't actually work too hard.
They moved to an apartment since they sold their house and didn't have another one yet. The kids LOVE the apartment. They ran all around and loved the awesome vertical blinds (haha), and the super high bar in the kitchen. They jumped on the bed and just enjoyed all the excitement.

After everything was inside the apartment, we kinda helped arrange things, unpack a few things, and put a couple of pieces of furniture together (gotta love IKEA).
Then it was back to the old house to help pack a few things and move some furniture and boxes to the pod. They have most of their stuff going into storage and only a few things coming to the apartment with them, so it was kind of a complicated move-especially on their end (deciding what needs to go where and just staying organized).

And Coopie...
...moving makes him tired.

The funniest part about this weekend...the offer they put in on their new house got accepted on Monday. So they're not going to be in the apartment for too long; which is good, cause they don't love it, and they already miss their house, but we're going to be packing up and moving it all again real soon.
:)

::cousins playdate::

We went down to visit my brother and his boys and Grandma & Papa Kitty on Saturday. They took us to Chilis (YUM!), and we just talked about Mia and kinda got to hang and see how everybody's doing since it's been such a tough week for them. The kids had so much fun being with their cousins. They were so silly at the end of the table (poor mom had to sit down there with all 4 of the crazy kids).

Bubb likes Chilis too.

When we got to Grandma & Papa's we saw this...

They told us around Christmas that they were going to put their house up for sale, and it's already sold! They've already started packing! They're looking for another one, but in the meantime they're moving to an apartment (which is weird). So the kids ran around and looked the house over to see what was missing and what had been moved. The bookshelves, dishes, silverware, and a few decorations. Nothin' gets past those little guys!

Good thing they hadn't packed up the toy room yet!

When I talked to Billy that morning, he told me he was planning on going sledding with the boys and asked if we wanted to go. So we had every intention of going (brought the sled and everything), but those kids were having so much fun up there, we just let 'em play!! We figured they better soak up as much of Grandma's house as they can!

Then Grandma made us some cookies (from Chloe's school fundraiser dough-yum!)...

And those crazy kids again...
(I know these pictures totally look posed, but they're not, I swear!)

...and that was our Saturday.

Baby Mia is doing better everyday. She is expected to come home on Tuesday or Wednesday (most likely Wednesday). She's still on oxygen (through a nasal cannula), but off the feeding tube and IV, so that's great progress!! We're all so proud of her, and SO excited for her to go home and meet her big brothers!!
